Patricia is a renowned water practitioner, sensory immersion artist, and the creator of RewildRestore. As the founder of RewildRestore, she invites people into the water as a daily practice of listening, sensing, connecting, and befriending, not just the elements, but all the beautiful, untamed aspects of our creating selves. The inspiration began when she was in creative residency on the island of Naxos, immersing herself in the soul and culture of the land. While living in a monastery and creating site-specific multi-sensory installations, she began swimming in the ocean every day. What started out as a refreshing break in the day turned into a life-changing water practice. She is now a year-round swimmer, including freezing winter water temperatures as low as 33 degrees. Her Water Practice is both physical & meditative, new & ancient, holding & healing, often transformative, integrating physical movement, sound/sensory immersion, and healing practices shared with her by medicine women of other cultures.
“To introduce someone to the water is to invite them into a relationship. With the sea, the self, with ceremony, the yet to be revealed, and the ready to be released. That’s where the magic happens.”
She documents all of her polar and Cycladic swims on IG #swimoftheday. And the only thing she loves more than her morning swim ritual is introducing people to water. “To introduce someone to the water is to invite them into a relationship. With the sea, the self, with ceremony, the yet to be revealed, and the ready to be released. That’s where the magic happens.”
She also met dear friend and Cyclades co-host Anita on the island of Naxos. Their collaboration bloomed out of a shared love for beauty, nature, thoughtful experiences, and a good laugh under the stars.
